The Waterfront Promenade Celebrates 20 Years!
On 23 August, we will celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the waterfront promenade. Welcome to a day of activities for the whole family along Uddevalla’s beautiful waterfront promenade from 11:00 to 15:00.
Programme at Gustafsberg
The archipelago boats will offer free trips on the Uddevalla route according to the regular timetable throughout the day.
- 11:00-15:00: The Swedish Sea Rescue Society will be at the pontoon jetty with its rescue boat and personal watercraft. The crew may need to leave Gustafsberg if called to an emergency.
- 11:30-15:00: Friluftsfrämjandet will organise crab fishing for children and share information about its activities.
- 13:00-13:30: Sunniva Brynnel – Folk Music Across the North Sea. Sunniva Brynnel won Folk Music of the Year for her album Bohuslän at the Manifest Awards in Stockholm. Accompanied by double bassist Putte Johander, she uses accordion and vocals to explore the connection between Bohuslän and British folk music. At the cold bathhouse at Gustafsberg.
- 13:40-14:00: Concert and dance performance by Uddevalla Folkdansgille. At the cold bathhouse at Gustafsberg.
- 14:10-14:40: Sunniva Brynnel and Putte Johander – Folk Music Across the North Sea. At the cold bathhouse at Gustafsberg.
- 11:00-15:00: Uddevalla expert Gunnar Klasson, a former ambassador for Uddevalla Municipality, will keep the Gustafsberg archive open and tell its stories.
