Scholarships

The next application deadline is 1 September 2026.

Ten eligible applications were received by the application deadline of 1 September 2025.

A decision on new scholarship recipients will be made at the board’s ordinary meeting on 25 September 2026. New recipients will be announced only here on the website.

To be eligible for a scholarship from the Gustafsberg Foundation, you must meet the following criteria:

• You must be under 25 years of age.
• You must have been born and raised in the province of Bohuslän.
• You must be pursuing education in a theoretical or practical field.
• You must demonstrate considerable talent and aptitude for your future profession.
• You must, for various reasons, primarily financial, have difficulty completing your education.
• The education should preferably be at post-secondary level.

You must include an extract from the population register with your application. It must clearly show that you were born in the province of Bohuslän. Several types of certificates are available, so make sure that your place of birth is stated. Applications submitted without this certificate or received after the deadline will not be considered.

Please note that the parishes of Hisingen, Öckerö, Torslanda, Björlanda, Säve, Backa, Brunnsbo, Bäckebol and Rödbo are in the province of Bohuslän. The rest of Gothenburg belongs to Västergötland.

You must also include your upper-secondary school diploma or a certificate showing your Swedish Scholastic Aptitude Test result.

Use our website’s e-service to apply for a scholarship. Please note that if you submit an application by ordinary post, a letter with insufficient postage will not reach the Gustafsberg Foundation. The foundation will not pay the charge required to collect such a letter.

Please note that incomplete applications will not be considered.
