The Around the World Hiking Trail

Discover Uddevalla’s charm through a walk along the scenic path “Around the World” that winds its way through the historic seaside resort. With heavenly views of the sea and surrounding mountains and valleys, this 5.5 km long path offers an opportunity to adapt your walk according to your wishes. Marked with elegant bollards with white peaks, it leads you through Gustafsberg’s magnificent landscapes and takes you close to the heart of nature.

An anecdote that adds an extra dimension to history is the story of Archbishop Sundberg and his wife Klara, who made Gustafsberg their summer home between 1855 and 1899. Each evening they took a peaceful walk that they called “Around the World”. It was from here the path got its name and carries with them a sense of tradition and past time.

During your hike you can also encounter the mineral spring, a source that is sometimes available to the public.
