Guided Tour of Gustafsberg
Gustafsberg is not only inviting beautiful with Snäckan, restaurant, hostel, bath and lovely park. A healthy mineral-rich mineral spring in the shelter of the forested heights attracted visitors here already in the early 1700s. Here were built ships and salted herring. The Knape family started Sweden’s first boarding school for boys. The exciting story remains today in the Gustafsberg Foundation thanks to Anders Knape. Who was he? How was it to go to school here? What spa treatments could you get? How did you enjoy yourself? You can get answers to that during a guided walk with Bohuslän’s Guides.
During the summer Mrs Gustavsson and Mrs Cederfeldt will show interested guests around the area at guided tours open to the public https://www.vastsverige.com/uddevalla/produkter/gustafsberg/
Bohuslän Guides also take reservations for private groups (companies, family gatherings, parties, kick-off, wedding guests). https://bohuslanguide.se/norra-bohuslan/guidning-pa-gustafsberg
We dress according to the style of the seaside resort in 1899. During the guided tour we visit some of the buildings and tell about their unique history. We drink of course of the mineral water. If our voices are not enough, we are equipped with voice amplifiers. We guide in Swedish, but if there are long distance guests from abroad we can also guide groups in English, German or French.
